Summary: Week 1 and 2


Summary - Week 1 and 2:

A quick summary of everything I added in week 1-2 of the project:

  • Made basic movement for player
  • Introduced shooting water mechanism
  • Made basic tilemap
  • Introduced basic interactions with environment (colliding, jumping etc.)
  • Create horse mount
  • Made horse mountable and rideable
  • Introduced destructible blocks
  • Created an item that can be picked up and thrown (Axe)
  • Introduced melee attack function
  • Made item store behind player
  • Bug fixed (When using melee attack and throwing at the same time, caused glitch)
  • Introduced controller support (tested and working with xbox controller)
  • Created second player for testing
  • Created camera features
  • Camera follows player
  • Camera always keeps all players on screen
  • Camera is confined within boundaries
  • Camera allows look ahead distance
  • Bug: Camera starts in a certain location and then snaps to player on start
  • Axe destroys bricks when picked up near bricks. Should only destroy on attack or if thrown
  • Camera is a bit shaky and jittery
